Provisional Criteria & Requirements

The Junior League of Odessa welcomes your interest in becoming a member of our organization.  When considering membership in the Junior League, you might wonder what we can contribute to your future.  Each member starts as a provisional member.  A provisional is simply a woman who has made a commitment to this organization of her time and talents. Provisionals go through a time period of training to learn how the Junior League is organized, learn basic parliamentary procedure, and the basics of fundraising.  Once the training period is completed, these women become active members of our organization and are placed on a committee with other active members.

Provisionals are the lifeblood of our organization and have helped strengthen and sustain the league over the years.   Your provisional class is the first step toward making new friends and touching the heart of Odessa.
