Member Relations

The Membership Relations Committee is responsible for the internal relations 
thus an integral part of membership satisfaction and retention.  Their duties include 
membership recognition programs, holiday party, sustainer of the year and 
other appreciation programs including making arrangements for the annual meeting.

Membership Education

  The Membership Education & Development Committee develops and facilitates 
membership training and education regarding focus area  issues, community programming 
and leadership development skills.  Education is a key area in which we 
strive to make our members a viable source for volunteering in the community.

 

Membership Orientation

New Provisional JLO members are required to fulfill the following obligations prior to becoming active members:  

·        Attend one full day Provisional Orientation Class

·        Attend one board meeting

·        Attend one committee meeting of their choice

·        Payment of JLO yearly dues (pro-rata)

·        Payment of provisional dues  

Once the Provisional member has completed all of these obligations, she is proposed to the JLO board for active membership.

             mission of the Junior League of Odessa, Inc. and its programs are
             furthered by membership attendance at general meetings.

  At-large board members are elected to their position on the board of directors. 
These members are the elected liaisons of the membership body to the board.
